Do you ever have those moments where you find something in some place that just simply should not be there? For example, just last week my wife and I were heading home and decided to stop at a drive-through window and get some burgers. Along with the food I ordered my standard unsweetened tea, placed the cup in the cup holder without checking it and then headed off. We were on our way home and I placed the straw in the tea and took a big draw and I coughed and almost gagged as the liquid in my cup burned my throat and opened up my sinuses like Afrin. I got to tell you I was more than a little surprised to find bourbon in my tea. Now this was clearly one of those moments where I instantly began to wonder how these two liquids came to be together seeing that I don't drink bourbon and I don't think they have begun serving hard liquor at the drive-through windows of burger joints. So leaving the full investigation to the manager of said burger emporium, I will now explore my own theories.  My guess is that an employee had fixed themselves a "special" tea and had it in the area where the drinks are prepared, and the spiked beverage was passed to me at the drive-through purely by accident. I would say this likely resulted in a fairly substantial level of panic for said employee once the error was discovered.  Perhaps someone, maybe a disgruntled employee or jokester, thought it might be funny or cute to pour liquor into the tea dispens ...
