In the report, it is suggested that the Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks, and Ottawa Senators are involved in the deal, and the trade would greatly improve each team. The rumor suggests that the Blackhawks would send goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin and defenseman Cam Barker or Brent Seabrook to the Ottawa Senators. The Senators would then send Andrej Mezaros and goaltender Martin Gerber to the Kings while the Blackhawks would get Anze Kopitar from Los Angeles. This could very well be the blockbuster trade of the year if it comes through.
