| Radio-news coverage of the memorial for a dead monkey named Jocko filled the B.C. airwaves on Sunday and even generated a front-page news story today in Vancouver, complete with a large photo of two distraught women. Jocko was killed when, allegedly, thieves broke into his cage during a robbery which resulted in the supposed "kidnapping" of his mate, Mia. But, hey, I'm thinking that if the media are going to treat this crime as if it involved humans, then they should go all the way. This means that they should not rule out as a suspect the one "person" who had motive (escaping an arranged marriage), the opportunity (at night, when no one was watching) and is now missing (on the lam, no doubt!). Therefore, unless Mia steps forward to clear her name, she must be considered the prime suspect! ... |
