Microsoft Thursday announced its purpose to get Portuguese mobile back-up and sharing company MobiComp for an unrevealed sum of money bolstering Microsoft's standing in mobility and societal networking. MobiComp offers a figure of mobile services to consumers and carriers, including: MobileKeeper, a suite of services for mobile back-up, societal networking, and news reading; and Active mTicker, a mobile news provender service. MobileKeeper's societal networking characteristics let consumers to post content to societal networking land sites like Facebook directly from their mobile devices. More Mobility Insights White Papers Webcasts Reports Among MobiComp's clients are Vodafone, clothes company Esprit, and a figure of mobile bearers with billions of customers, including Portugal's and Saudi Arabian Arabia's biggest mobile carriers. MobiComp's services would look to suit nicely with Microsoft's Windows Mobile River and Windows Live strategies. "Investing in the right solutions from companies like MobiComp will widen the capablenesses of Windows Mobile River and Windows Live to assist us supply the most advanced and seamless manner to remain connected," Sir Alexander Robertus Todd Peters, VP of Microsoft's mobile communication theory business, said in a statement.
