Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a strong Hillary Clinton supporter and superdelegate who once hoped to replace the senator if she was elected to the White House, is now campaigning for Barack Obama as part of his effort to woo women voters. Maloney stumped on Obama's behalf in central Florida last weekend and is headed to Michigan this weekend. She's scheduled to hit Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and suburban Detroit with TV Judge Glenda Hatchett . "I was invited by the Obama campaign to explain his commitment to improving the lives of women. His platform is the strongest ever by a candidate for president,” said Maloney, who recently wrote a book about how progress for women has been stalled, and even reversed, in the US. "Barack Obama is the change American women need,” the congresswoman added in a press release announcing her impending trip to yet another swing state. “From the campaign front lines in Florida, it was easy to see the hope the Obama-Biden ticket is generating among millions of American women. I look forward to seeing the same enthusiasm this weekend in the great state of Michigan!” ...
