You might not be particularly familiar with the MSX; they never had a significant presence in the United States, although they did fairly well elsewhere. The original Metal Gear games were actually released on the MSX before anything else, including the NES. The prospect of seeing MSX games on the Virtual Console is pretty exciting from a nostalgic point of view, and to make it that much closer to the real experience, at least one MSX game — Aleste – will allow you to plug in a USB keyboard and play with that (in addition to the Wiimote, GameCube controller, or Classic Controller). To be honest, I had completely forgotten that the Wii even has a USB port, let alone two, which I rediscovered when I went and looked at the back of my Wii. ( No, no. That is not funny.) It makes sense that the games would play with a keyboard, given that it was the input method of choice with actual MSX systems, but it’s cool to see that the Wii supports it. via Wii Fanboy ---Related Articles at Gaming Today:Wii Internet Channel Now Supports USB KeyboardsVirtual Console Gifts Both Region and Country LockedGift Games to Your Friends on WiiNo Online Play Planned for Wii's Virtual Console TitlesVirtual Console to Add Master System Games ...
