The Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board gave the thumbs up to plans for a mile-long boardwalk between First and 14th avenues north, with some slight conditions. The board wants a last look at landscaping plans, which will likely be presented in two weeks, said Downtown Redevelopment Corporation Executive Director David Sebok. The CAB also wants to see the lighting on the boardwalk's "shade sails," or fabric shades that will be at street ends and overlooks. Sebok said the lighting is meant to provide a colorful glow, but not to affect nearby properties, and the CAB said if it can see the lighting at the time it is installed, board members can make a better decision and any adjustments can be made with the contractor. ...
