Lulu , the self-publishing platform for authors, has teamed up with book lover social network weRead to offer even more direct marketing and promotion opportunities for Lulu users. As weRead operates as a social networking and recommendation tool for readers, it’s a great target for authors looking to leverage Web-based platforms to spread the word about their work. Lulu has been working hard to ensure an easier self-publishing tool for its users, and that has led to a number of partnerships with services like Scribd to utilize its iPaper options, and now weRead, for extended marketing opportunities for its authors. As weRead allows its members to compare, rate and recommend nearly every book in print, the partnership with Lulu allows Lulu’s users to present their work within an established community of avid and well-read members.
