Following this week's release of the fastest video card on the market, the AMD HD 4870 X2, CoolIT today announced a new version of its Dual Drive Bay VGA cooler designed specifically for the Radeon HD4870 X2. This means extreme cooling is now available for gamers and enthusiasts looking for the highest clock speeds. CoolIT claims liquid cooled HD 4870 X2 cards have been successfully clocked up to 880Hmz and the GDDR5 memory clocks increased to 1GHz. That represents a 13.5% and 11% increase respectively. In benchmark testing they saw a 10% increase in 3d Mark Vantage scores as well.
