The Cresco Public Library celebrated its last day of the 2008 summer program for kids with a guest entertainer and a bike giveaway July 1. Kids and parents packed into the United Methodist Church to watch a puppet show put on by guest Jim Jayes of Austin, Minn. Karlee Grabau, 11, and Devon Rice, 9, stand next to bikes they won in a drawing held at the end of the library celebration. Children could place their names into the drawing each time they read five books. The bikes were donated to the library by C US Bank, Cresco Bank and Trust, Wal-Mart and Friends of the Library. ...
