A 46-year-old Lanoka Harbor man has been charged with robbery after allegedly beating up another man in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven and stealing three dollars from him. Police said Rocco Selig physically assaulted a 44-year-old man in the parking lot of the Route 9 convenience store at about 9 p.m. on Friday. The victim, whose name was not released, told police his assailant stole a duffel bag containing a wallet, cell phone and three dollars. Police said the man suffered lacerations above his left eye and to the bridge of his nose and was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River by members of the Lanoka Harbor First Aid squad. An investigation by police led them to Selig who was located at a nearby residence. He was charged with robbery and sent to Ocean County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
