Reader Eric lives in Lakewood and takes frequent walks through his nice corner of town. He often sees the same houses violating the lawn watering restrictions -- watering in the heat of the day, water running off and flowing down the street. Then he puts me in his shoes: "So, now the question becomes: What will Steve do? Will he stop by and ring the doorbell of the offeders' homes and explain the existing law? Risk possible confrontation? "Does he write down the addresses and call 311 and report the offenders? Will he sit down and write a letter to the offenders?
