The lowdown: Monument Monument has been making easy-to-listen-to (not to be confused with easy listening) guitar pop with a tiny bit of power for four years, first as a two-piece, then with five members and now with a more standard quartet of guitar, guitar, bass, drums. Good notice at local and regional shows has led to two consecutive appearances on the local stage of the Detroit stop on the Warped Tour. "I was surprised that people still actually cared," says singer and guitarist Steve Branstrom of last week's Warped show. "It's been a long time since we've played a show; we've been in the studio and everything, and it seemed like we were pretty well-received again this year." ...
