Good morning friends, what are you up to? Things are moving along over here. Today we have back-to-back classes going on in the lab. It should be busy but fine overall because I have the heads-up as to who is coming in. The topic of the day, aside from hoping that you have a broadband connection to view all of the movies, is the question of where do games go that aren't released, and why is it that Korea seems to lack originality? Rather, why do they seem to focus on MMO games rather than other formats? The first title up today is called Kickster . It is an online freestyle soccer game. This title seems to be in the same vein as Freestyle Street Basketball . Both games are about customization as much as they are about the sport. Check out their trailer below. I was just having this conversation with my friend the other day. I am not a fan of traditional sports games. I honest-to-God could care less about Madden and the lot of "realistic" sport games. If, however, you add the playground element to the game, the "street" flavor then you have my attention. The more creative the sports title, even if it comes off a little cartoonish and unrealistic, the more likely I am to play it. The NBA STREET game from EA is one of my favorite games of all-time.
