Gas or diesel, take your pick. BY JORDAN BROWN Along with releasing some fresh photos of the Soul , Kia has also published the engine options for its all-new model. Slated to go on sale in the United States in April 2009 and in Europe two months earlier, the hip five-door hatchback will be available with three engine options, all of which are claimed to be highly fuel-efficient. According to Kia, a 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline engine will be the most powerful, followed by two 1.6-liters—one gasoline, one diesel—that complete the lineup. As of now, Kia is not sharing any real specifications with us other than dimensions and the fact that the 1.6-liter engines are closely related to those found in the popular European-built Kia Cee’d.
