| I just stumbled across http://www.whylinuxisbetter.net/ Does a nice job of putting across the case for linux on the desktop to the lay person, at least for distros targeted for non-technical users (*buntu, say.) Things it does better than most of us (or at least me:) Has friendly graphics. People like that I hear. Uses non-technical language, with screen shots for demonstration. Still manages to explain the concept without neutering the discussion. Check out their discussion on fragmentation. Honestly covers weak spots. Not that we lie about them, but they may be blind spots in our experience. How many of you work in print? Anybody else have good resources like this? Stuff appropriate for showing to people in our "free tech support circles?" ... |
