 Living in Houston, I missed the world premier of UT alum Rick Linklater's new documentary on Augie at the Paramount (June 2). Set your DVRs because it will be on the ESPN network Sunday and Wednesday! Backstory interview with Linklater As I found out a few weeks ago when I spoke to the Austin Film Society (Linklater is Artistic Director), ESPN owns the rights to the film. The two hour documentary is scheduled to be shown: Sunday, June 15 9:00PM CDT - ESPN2 and ESPN2HD Wednesday, June 18 2:00PM CDT - ESPNCL (Classic) There are hints of a DVD package coming available, which could include extra footage and would be a different version from the one we will see on cable, you know, due to Augie's flowery vocab and all.
