We're taking an old theme and putting it in a different light. That's right, Infrared is now a Photo Challenge. Infrared photography captures a world as your eyes have never seen it. It takes the infrared light (heat radiation) and creates images that are ghostly and mysterious, yet stunning. JPG is teaming with ArtBistro on this challenge. If you'd like to learn more about infrared photography, ArtBistro has a link on its homepage that explains exactly what it is and how you can produce it. But note one thing: infrared photography doesn't mean "low light" or "bright light" photography. This challenge is for photos taken with infrared film or using an infrared filter. If you can't participate this week, then use the challenge as a source for inspiration. ArtBistro is the premiere portfolio and social networking site for artists and designers. It's the place to further your career in the arts whether you are networking, looking for a photography job, or needing some feedback on your work. If you have already submitted a photo into the Infrared category, then it is automatically filed into this challenge. The Infrared photo challenge is open for submissions through July 23. That's one week from today! Here are some prime examples to help direct your work: dreamland by Rick Harrison welcome at the second world by Mathias Pastwa Momong Bocah by Yuan Not Yet Drowning by Andrew Benedict Altemont by Karla Kelley ... |
