Randy Dreiling has endeared himself to a lot of Hutchinson High football fans since taking over a losing team in 1998 and leading it to its fourth straight Class 6A football championship last year. But some are questioning whether he is receiving preferential treatment after a minute-long, profanity-laced tirade to his team surfaced in an audio recording first posted months ago on a message board on The Eagle's Web site. High school administrators learned of the tape by that posting and alerted superintendent David Flowers. Dreiling was given a reprimand, though few details have been released by the administration. "Probably less formal language is used in coaching situations," Flowers said. "That may seem like a double standard," but added that there were not different standards for coaches and teachers. That's not true, says retired Hutchinson High School social studies teacher Jerry Beasley, who said some coaches seem to feel that they aren't held to the same requirements as other teachers. ...
