Dutch football club Heerenveen has won an UEFA Cup place by beating NAC Breda 4-2 in the second leg play-off. Heerenveen beat NAC two-nil in the first round one. It is the fifth year in a row that the Friesian club has made it through to European football. It was manager Gertjan Verbeek's last match with Heerenveen, he will take over at Feyenoord shortly.
