Course required for those born on or after July 1, 1957 FREDONIA -- Wilson County hunter education instructors will conduct a hunter education class on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 17, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Wilson County Courthouse basement, 615 Madison St. in Fredonia. Students should bring a sack lunch for Saturday; drinks will be provided. Students need to attend both days to receive certification. To pre-register, phone the Wilson County Clerk’s office, 620-378-2186. Kansas law requires that everyone born on or after July 1, 1957, who hunts on property other than their own must complete an approved hunter education course.
