This is my awful experience with Continental Flight Date: Aug 3rd, 2008 Flight Number: CO1688 IAH->DTW connect to NW1774 Elite Status: Gold with OP, Silver with WP The scheduled 4:45PM CO1688 was finally got off ground at 6:37PM, delayed for almost 2 hours. As with all the delays I have had with Continental, weather was always blamed for the cause. Only this time the thunder storm lasted less than 10 minutes around 4:30PM. By 4:45 PM, the sky was clear and sunshine came out, and Captain announced that the ramp was re-opened and we were ready to go once the ground crews finish loading remaining baggage, which would took about 5-10 minutes. Realized that I would miss the connection in DTW, I talked to GA who enter into cabin to let a passenger to get off airplane at 5:30PM. He advised that I can choose either to stay in IAH overnight or go to DTW first and spend night there. In either case, he said, Continental agent would assist me booking the new flight and making hotel arrangement. We arrived at DTW at about 10:10PM. I told the CO GA at B8 that I miss NW1774 flight which is scheduled at 9:23PM. The GA replied that the NW airplane was still parked at gate A6. I casted my doubt, but the GA insisted that NWA airplane was there because it also had delay. Without wasting more time, I ran to gate A6, but found no airplane there.
