Terry Gilliam's forthcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is having a challenge finding distribution in the U.S. According to The Hollywood Reporter, despite the fact that Gilliam is leaving Heath Ledger's scenes in the film, studios are timid to sign on to the latest from the "stubbornly noncommercial" director. An unnamed distribution exec told The Hollywood Reporter that: "In this market, unless I have a reason to think a movie like this is going to be a slam dunk I'm not going to take a flyer on it, even with Heath Ledger." Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, split duties taking over the role from Ledger, and each plan to donate their earnings from the film to Ledger's daughter .
