Headline German consumer price inflation eased in April but remains above the ECB's target of 2.0%. The national measure fell 0.2% in April unchanged from March. On a year-ago basis, the CPI rose to 2.4%, compared to 3.0% in the prior month. The EU's harmonised index of CPI saw German price growth at -0.3% m/m and 2.6% y/y.
