Hammer and Kasonde bring greetings from Mpika, Zambia. We are very happy to share our first full years news letter. We feel encouraged to share with you some of the exciting things we have gone through from the time we started this Foundation, last year, in July 2007. Since that time we have had the privilege to travel to villages and meet the people who are so dear to us, who in their poverty status have been able to listen to us and conserve their natural resources. However, as usual the time has a way of escaping us and it has already been close to 12 months since it became my honor to be the Executive chair of the Foundation for Wildlife and Habitat Conservation (FWHC). It has been a great challenge and I believe we at FWHC are seeing greater opportunities within our communities to make this world a better place for the future generation. Issues of environment and climate change are real and more individuals are willing to take a pro-active role to reverse the current condition where there is more carbon than the oxygen we need. All we need is support to help people support the environment. Its truly a great moment in our youthful growth as an Organization here in Mpika. My small village town is growing so fast that we forget just how young we are as an environmental Organization.
