The violence seen in Manchester at the Uefa Cup final by rampaging Rangers fans could impact England’s hope’s of staging the 2018 world cup according to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The fact that no English teams were involved seems to have been completely missed by the Scottish born Prime minister who said "I want to do everything to avoid us being put in a position where we might be at risk of an application for the 2018 World Cup not being acceptable because of this," Brown said.
