Richar Triple-A: Newly acquired infielder Danny Richar (pronounced REE-char) went 0 for 5, but Paul Janish delivered the go-ahead double as the Bats beat Charlotte -- Richar's old team -- 7-5 . Kevin Barker homered, Alvin Colina was 3 for 3 and Josh Roenicke struck out 2 in 1.2 perfect innings. Double-A: The Lookouts' scoring troubles continued as they lost 2-0 . Danny Dorn and Chris Valaika were both 0 for 4, and both have cooled off considerably of late. High A: Logan Parker was 2 for 4 in Sarasota's 6-4 loss to Rick Porcello and Lakeland. Todd Frazier was 1 for 4 with an RBI. Low A: Brandon Waring was 2 for 4, but Dayton fell just short, losing 18-0 . Most of that damage went to Daniel Guerrero (9 runs) and Derrick Conatser (8 runs in 2/3 of an inning). More importantly, the suspensions from the big brawl were handed down . Henry Arias , Jeremy Horst , Jeff Jeffords , Luis Montano , Devin Mesoraco , Kevyn Feiner , Denis Phipps , Justin Reed and manager Donnie Scott were all suspended 3 games. Rookies: Kyle Day and David Sappelt had 2 hits each in Billings' 6-2 win . Day, a 22-year-old catcher, has been clear-hot in his 18 games since being drafted in the 12th round out of Michigan State. He's too advanced for the Pioneer League. ... Juan Duran was 0 for 4 in his return, a 5-3 win for the D-Reds . ... |
