The recent closures of the Bennigan’s restaurant chain prompted me to think about all those steaks that aren’t being eaten, and who is going to eat the steaks to help fufill that need? After thinking about this further I thought, who is going to buy the clothes and the furniture and the shoes at the retail stores. You know Mervyn’s is really hurting too. I think that the super rich have a big job to do. How many steaks and shoes, and clothes can such a small portion of these individuals buy in a year? There is a limit even for the super rich. The demand at the stores will disappear because the masses of people don’t have the extra dollars to spend. This could turn into the economic disaster.
