| As I pointed out to Robert Monell in chat the other day, there are some startling similarities between Kubrick's EYES WIDE SHUT and Rollin's LA VAMPIRE NUE. I have since found out that other people have noticed this connection as well. But here is something new, I think. As I was innocently rewatching the Hammer production THE KISS OF THE VAMPIRE (1963) just now, it struck me that what is essentially the same mask features prominently in both this film and EYES WIDE SHUT.... ... |
