Post-Winehouse ? Already? With Duffy , British—Welsh, in this case—fascination with '60s U.S. soul continues apace. Her Motownish and Dusty Springfieldish songs are faithful, sometimes too much so—more genre exercises than fully formed ideas. She's best when she drops the affectations and focuses on her tone, which is elegant, if not quite rich. Then she sounds like a singer out of time. — JON CARAMANICA.
