I'm proud to present the release version of my Pixelpost template Dark Matter to the world. This template is the result of over 2 months of hard, hard work. It's safe to say this release represents 'the best of me' in terms of design and web development best practices. The template is highly accessible, has 100% degradable unobtrusive javascript and has a neutral but classy design. It's powered by the excellent YUI Javascript framework. Going Commercial Dark Matter is also the first thing I've ever released with a commercial license. For non-commercial users it's free and licensed under the CC-NC license but for commercial users there's a $99 license fee. I sincerely hope you'll think it's worth the money. If not, there are plenty of free alternatives. I decided to do this as a experiment to see how well it will do compared to doing freelance client work on commercial projects. Show it to me! Dark Matter 1.0 can be seen in action on my own photoblog . It can be downloaded from the Pixelpost website . For more information about Dark Matter I created a small microsite for it at darkmatter-template.com . tags: pixelpost , design , web design , javascript , xhtml , template Future Dark Matter isn't quite done yet. In the near future I plan to release a 'Pro' version with more features such as collapsible comments, an AJAX interactive photo exploration page and configurable page widths. This version will be available for a small fee (TBD) ...
