Since we've had a bit of down time, I figured I'd try to hone my P-shop chops a bit. Here's the latest in my efforts to restore the faded pictures hanging on the walls at the Athletics/Alumni Center, Greg Brezina. For those of you out there with Photoshop experience, feel free to critique and offer tips, hints, solutions, etc. I'm always trying to improve my P-shop skills, and you guys have been more helpful than any online tutorial. University of Houston Before University of Houston After (again, obviously) • • • Since I spent much of Saturday dealing with a family situation, I would appreciate it if those of you who watched the Rice-Tulsa game would fill me in on your impressions. I didn't see a second of the game, though I did try to check in on MK Bower's blog every now and then. I saw the score at halftime and then the 63-28 final (those of you who took the over on the 80.5 line were winners), and wondered what the heck happened. And was anyone surprised to see UTEP outshoot Southern Miss 40-37 in double-OT? I know the Miners can't stop anyone, but Southern Miss? • • • Volleyball blitzed SMU, 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-11, 25-20) Saturday night at the Athletics/Alumni Center. Senior Justine Farmer (who else?) recorded her fourth double-double this season for the Cougars (9-7, 2-2 in C-USA) with 20 kills and 15 digs. Her 20 kills is the second-highest single-match total this season (22 in the season-opener against Marquette). ...
