 University of Houston Tommy P! I caught up with Tom Penders last week, and he's pretty amped about the upcoming season. TP says that this year's version of the Cougars will be deeper and faster than before and -- are you ready? -- will rely less on the 3-point shot. And no, it's not because the line was bumped back a few inches this season. TP says that this year's team team speed will mean that they will be able to squeeze more out of the transition game. Oh, they'll still launch 'em from the arc, but expect more layups. And dunks. My man, Jeff "Li'l Boots" Conrad, the new basketball SID, has released the full schedule, and here it is.
