Constructora Colpatria (Colpatria), a leader in Colombia's construction industry, wanted to achieve International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification to maintain its competitive position. However, with information stored locally on desktop computers or in filing cabinets, and printed procedure manuals updated monthly, Colpatria had no efficient way to share and manage the information necessary to achieve ISO certification. In response, the company implemented a collaborative, Web-based solution using Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
