Filed under: Culture It's not often that a person in the UK becomes a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (or CBE for short). That's just what happened late last week when that honor was given by Queen Elizabeth to David and Richard Darling, the co-founders of the UK game publisher Codemasters . As you can see from the photo, the Darling brothers started in the PC gaming industry at an early age, beginning with a company called Galactic Software in 1982. They launched Codemasters in 1986 and saw the company grow to the huge organization it is today with titles like their racing titles and others gaining popularity.
