| Nightlife impresario and Staten Island native John "JE" Englebert is offering to donate space in his nightclubs to host rallies for supporters of Rep. Vito Fossella.
Englebert, according to a press release headlined "VIVA VITO!," favors keeping the "controversial" congressman in office and believes that "tons" of Staten Islanders feel the same way.
"Bill Clinton and Governor Patterson (sic) are perfect examples of how one's governmental duties should not be judged by there (sic, again) personal mistakes," reads the release (oddly, written all in capitals). "Vito's a great congressman and driving force."
The decision about whether Fossella should keep his seat should be up to the people of the 13th CD and not "politicians in Washington that have never even seen Staten Island," the release concludes.
