Filed under: Clemson Football , Florida State Football , ACC , Clemson , Florida State Midway in the 3rd quarter, Clemson held a 24-3 lead on Florida State. The way the two teams were playing made it seemed like an even vaster deficit. You just know that the press box was filled with sportswriters about halfway through their stories that spoke of Clemson's utter dominance and Florida State's offensive ineptitude. FSU spent the entire first half looking entirely clueless. They had 62 total yards and 7 of their drives were 3-and-out. It was a pathetic performance to rival anything the Seminoles did last season on offense. Florida State fans could be forgiven for thinking that hiring Jimbo Fisher as the new OC and Rick Trickett as the offensive line coach made no difference with the same players. As bad as Florida State looked, the Clemson Tigers looked sharp. They were juiced for the game and fed off the night time crowd packing Death Valley. The offense was clicking. Especially the ground game. James Davis and C.J. Spiller were running over and through Florida State arm tackles. The Tiger defense was aggressive and not giving FSU QB Drew Weatherford time to throw. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments ...
