Clayton (21-12) advanced to Friday's 7:30 p.m. game against the winner of Thursday's winner's bracket final. Hope Mills' season ends at 21-9. Ryan Daughtry's two-out homer in the second put Clayton on top. Hope Mills claimed the lead with two in the bottom of the second, one scoring on a wild pitch after a strikeout as Manny Beltran scored and the second on Dale Urquhart's RBI single. Both teams scored four in the third, with Clayton getting two-run singles by Justin Diener and Ryan Daughtry and Hope Mills getting RBI double by Zack Pittman and a three-run homer by Manny Beltran. Clayton then went ahead by two after a three-run fifth. One run scored on a passed ball, another on a throwing error and another on Daughtry's sacrifice fly. Clayton pushed the lead to 9-6 in the sixth on Kyle Cummings' RBI groundout after Brian Mills had tripled. Hope Mills closed within 9-8 in the bottom of the inning on Austin Sandy's two-run homer.
