The website "Center for Urban History of East Central Europe" reflects the activities of this research institution based in Lviv, Ukraine. The centre was founded in 2004 as a private non-profit institute. The site has complete versions in English, Ukrainian, Polish and German. Three sections introduce the history, missions and news of the centre. "Lviv interactive" and "Urban Image Database" are two projects concerning the history of Lviv presented on the site; they are web accessible and anyone who has relevant information or images to add is invited to contribute. Another online resource realized by the center is the Urban Maps Digital with maps of historical Lviv. All these databases have options for browsing according to period, chronology and collection. The offline research projects and teaching are described on the site. Further activities of the center include conferences, exhibitions, film evenings and the Kolo Lvova series of round tables. The site introduces the library of the centre and the online catalogue. Under the publication the "ece-urban" is announced, aimed at being a peer-reviewed online series with articles and studies on urban history in East Central Europe. Interested researchers are also offered accommodation by the centre; information is available on the web page.
