Thomas Cook Airlines has added more flights from Cardiff Airport to some of its most popular destinations for the summer. The extra services have been made available to cater for demand from holidaymakers in the Cardiff region for late summer getaways. Additional flights are available to destinations including Arrecife on the Canary island of Lanzarote and San Antonio on the Balearic island of Ibiza. Throughout the summer, Thomas Cook Airlines expects to carry around 80,000 travellers to 22 holiday destinations, including Alicante, Corfu and Dalaman. Airline director Frank Pullman said: "Holidays abroad have proven to be as popular as ever amongst those who have chosen to travel from Cardiff International Airport. "With an aircraft based at the airport, it has enabled us to be more flexible so that we can add flights where we feel there is sufficient customer demand." Thomas Cook will use an Airbus A321 for its summer services from Cardiff, which can carry a total of 220 passengers. ...
