Canadians are angry about the open-ended, naïve entitlements handed out by governments in this country which have led to widespread expatriate fraud, tax evasion and health care, entitlements scams. We are a nation of involuntary Santas handing out money and services without policing or controls. Giving away billions on the basis of the honor system is negligence and beginning more than one week ago I decided to revisit these issues following some leaked information from inside government sources as well as concerned Canadian taxpayers. I've written hundreds of columns and a couple of books about rip-offs. Here’s information from a chartered accountant who agrees with me that reforms are long overdue. He has an important suggested reform that I have written about and reveals examples of misbehavior that most of us have come across or know about first-hand.
