Both the Coastal Carolina University board of trustees and the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Commission approved on Thursday their portions of a sales tax increase that will be shared with Horry County Schools if it passes on the November ballot. The list of projects for the two colleges are almost identically worded despite the different needs each institution has for capital improvements.
