First-graders in Brownie Troop #21544 from Glendale Elementary hosted a Family Earth Day clean up around their school and Community Park on April 26. They planted five shrubs around the entrance of the school in honor of Earth Day and braved the cold weather conditions to collect 10 bags of trash. The scouts used some of the money they earned from their cookie sales earlier in the year to purchase the shrubs.
