Blood Bound Writer: Patricia Briggs Genre: Urban Fantasy Pages: 292 I really enjoyed Patricia Briggs's MOON CALLED, so it was a no-brainer to go ahead and get the rest of the Mercy Thompson books that were available. Where MOON CALLED focused on the werewolves and their politics, BLOOD BOUND focuses on the vampires and there's when a sorcerer-demon is transformed into a vampire and starts wrecking havoc in Mercy's neck of the woods. Good book, but not my favorite of the series so far, particularly due to the end. The full review, which includes spoilers, may be found at my journal here: REVIEW: Patricia Briggs's BLOOD BOUND Iron Kissed Writer: Patricia Briggs Genre: Urban Fantasy Pages: 287 And since I had IRON KISSED on hand, reading this one right after was also a no-brainer. This book is the best of the series so far, despite the two specific reasons I think many people have avoided this book for, one of those reason involving the fact that Mercy finally chooses between Adam and Samuel. The actual plot focuses on the serial killings of the fae on their reservations and how the fae are framing Mercy's mentor and former boss, Zee, for the crime. IRON KISSED focuses more on the fae community, and despite the end of the book, it's a very good read. The full review, WHICH DISCUSSES MAJOR SPOILERS IN DETAIL, may be found at my journal: REVIEW: Patricia Briggs's IRON KISSED . As always, comments and discussion are most welcome. Happy Readi ...
