A couple of club sources have told me the Brewers and Indians are still in heavy negotiations to try to conclude a deal for Cleveland left-hander C.C. Sabathia. Whether a deal gets done or not, it's a good sign for the Brewers that talks are still going on. That means they are still trying and the Indians are still listening. The Indians are off tomorrow and a reporter in Cleveland told me he has been giving indications that a press conference will be taking place. That makes sense because it's much easier to announce big deals on off days. If the Brewers are going to get this done, they want to do it in time for Sabathia to make his next start for them. If you're going to give up a lot for a pitcher, you want his services as much as possible. ...
