The San Luis Obispo Blues split a doubleheader against the Santa Maria Valley Packers on Saturday, losing the three-game nonleague summer collegiate baseball series 2-1. The Blues (45-15) won the opener 2-1 at Allan Hancock College before dropping the nightcap 4-3 at SLO Stadium. The Blues also lost to the Packers on Friday. A two-run third inning was enough for San Luis Obispo in the first game, in which starter Nolan Moody threw six strong innings to earn the win. ...
