If you're the paranoid (or lazy) type who yearns for ultimate peace of mind for your portfolio of tech purchases, Best Buy recently announced a "Black Tie" level of Geek Squad tech support. For example, if you sign up for the premium service for your TV, you'll get a free replacement TV after four repairs. Or if your set goes into the shop, you'll get a loaner to keep you in high-def heaven until your display is returned to you. And when you do get your television back, the Geeks will re-install it, re-calibrate it, and use their own sweat and blood to polish the screen to a screaming shine (okay, that last one doesn't seem to be in the literature). The Black Tie coverage is also available for car electronics, cell phones, computers, etc. No word, though, on whether the Black Tie service includes a vow not to rifle through your personal files. ...
