by dubsthcentralboy (Posted Yesterday, 9:22 pm) Reading this site and listening to a lot of the commentary about Mr Ahern, one can't fail to get the impression that a lot of the opposition to Bertie Ahern is based on snobbery. * He didn't go to Blackrock, Gonzaga, Wesley or any of the other establishment schools * He doesn't fratanise with the 'luvies' like Fintan O'Toole et al * He drinks Bass rather than Châteauneuf-du-Pape * He's from an ordinary background * he mispronounces some words * he's 'one of us' I can't help thinking that the jealousy about Mr Ahern's achievements are based more on the fact that some people believe he was never good enough to lead Ireland rather than any moral superiority. href="http://www.politics.ie/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=38072"> ...
