A soldier from Central Oregon was killed Sunday in Iraq when her vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device.Cpl. Jessica A. Ellis, 24, of Bend, died in Baghdad of wounds suffered in the incident, according to a news release issued late Monday by the U. S. Department of Defense.
