British Telecom (BT) has forked out an undisclosed amount to buy a pair of German IT companies. The two, Stemmer and SND, together form the enterprise IT wing of net AG, the software distribution company, and has combined assets worth over $15 million. Together they offer a range of services, from IP telephony to video surveillance. François Barrault, chief executive of BT Global Services, said: "This transaction will complement BT's strengths in the German market and we will be able to offer our customers an even broader portfolio of end-to-end networked IT services."
